In a bid to attract a robust and strategic partnership to the 2019 Port Harcourt International Trade fair and to also woo multinational oil and gas company, SPDC to join membership of PHCCIMA, the 2nd Deputy President of Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Dr Chinyere Nwoga led a business delegation to the General Manager Nigerian Content Development of multinational oil and gas company, SPDC, Mr Lanre Olawuyi. During the visit, the 2nd deputy President gave a brief introduction of the Chamber, her activities and inherent values emphasizing the need for them to join the membership of the chamber as a critical player in the private sector. During the visit, Dr. Uche Maraizu, the strategist for the trade took the SPDC team through some of the ideals of the upcoming 15th Port Harcourt International Trade fair 2019, he used the opportunity to ask for Partnership and also reiterated the need for them to join the premium membership of the chamber. In his remark, General Manager Nigerian Content Development, SPDC, Mr. Lanre Olawuyi welcomed PHCCIMA delegation noting that he has knowledge of the existent of Chambers of commerce but regrets that he does not know what the Chamber activities are all about. He, however, noted that this has changed with the briefing and the visit today which has provided more insight into Chamber activities. The General Manager said the meeting between the NCD and PHCCIMA was a welcome one which will open new frontiers for future collaborations. He noted that he will seek an audience with his people on the area of membership and revert back to PHCCIMA, adding that PHCCIMA should look forward to the huge partnership in the area of the Trade fair come the year 2020. The PHCCIMA Treasurer, Engr Tony Nwogbo gave the vote of thanks and the 2nd deputy President presented the Commerce Port Harcourt magazine and the trade fair brochure to the General Manager Mr. Lanre Olawuyi. Those also in attendance include PHCCIMA Financial Secretary, Arc Oriaku Hanson Oyet-Ille, Secretary of the 2019 Port Harcourt International Trade fair/Chairman of the Agriculture and Produce Trade Group, Surv. Emmanuel Ogbonda, and Chairperson of PHCCIMA SME/ICT, Mrs. Edughom Hanson.
